The former Premier League man joined Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers on deadline day.

Philippe Senderos has admitted to The Scottish Sun that Rangers were not the only side to make him a concrete offer this summer before outlining why he decided to move to Ibrox.
The 31-year-old was one of the last additions that Mark Warburton made to his squad during the window, arriving on a free transfer.

But, perhaps unsurprisingly given the stature of some of the clubs that he has previously played for, the Switzerland international confirmed that the Scottish Premiership side were not the only interested party, but he stressed that the Gers were able to offer something that other clubs could not.
“I had offers from other clubs, but Rangers are an historic club with vast support. There’s no hiding place, and you have to stand up to be counted and that suits me,” he told The Scottish Sun.

If Senderos is able to find his best form during his time with the Light Blues, then there can be little doubt that he will prove to be an excellent addition to their squad.
One attribute that Senderos – as well as several of the other summer signings the Gers have made – should have is the ability to cope with the pressure of playing for a club of Rangers’ stature.
He will be used to the expectation that the squad will have to contend with, and that should help the much more inexperienced members of the side when they step out onto the bigger stages.
