Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers defender Nikola Katic impressed with Tammy Abraham, Phil Foden and Moussa Dembele.
Nikola Katic of Rangers
Katic, who joined Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers from Slaven Belupo in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £2 million, played for Croatia at the European Under-21 Championship in Italy.
The Rangers centre-back has mentioned England’s Tammy Abraham and Phil Foden and France’s Dembele – who was sold by Celtic to Lyon last summer – as the toughest players he faced at the competition.
Katic told The Scottish Sun: “It was a really good experience for me because I played against top teams in England and France and the quality was really high. It was a good experience and a good lesson.
“The toughest player I faced was Phil Foden. He is an amazing player. For the strikers, it was Tammy Abraham or Moussa Dembele. They were strong.
“But Foden was the best. He is very calm on the ball, he can see everything behind me and behind him as well.”

Promising player
Katic is only 22 years of age, and the defender did relatively well for Rangers during the 2018-19 season.
The Croatia international made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers in 2018-19, scoring one goal in the process, according to WhoScored.
Katic will be an important player for Rangers next season in their quest to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
