Rangers defender Myles Beerman has revealed to The Glasgow Evening Times the advice he has been given by teammate Lee Wallace.

Beerman made his first-team debut for Rangers against Kilmarnock away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening.

The 18-year-old started the match at Rugby Park and played for the entire 90 minutes, as it ended in a goalless draw.

The former Manchester City youngster has revealed the advice he got from 29-year-old Rangers left-back and teammate Lee Wallace.

Beerman has also stated that he is ready to replace Wallace in the Old Firm derby against Celtic this month.

Rangers will take on Celtic at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Wallace is facing a four-week spell on the sidelines, according to The Glasgow Evening Times, and Beerman is ready to take his place in the team.

“Lee’s a great guy and with his injury and everything he really encouraged me and gave me tips for the game, to keep focused on the game and make sure I do my best and play for the badge,” Beerman told The Glasgow Evening Times.

“I’d definitely love to be involved [in the Old Firm game]. I keep working hard and do my best and it’s the manager’s decision.”

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 52 points from 31 matches.
