Rangers defender James Tavernier has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his pride at his younger brother and Middlesbrough winger Marcus Tavernier’s achievement.
James Tavernier, who has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2015 when he moved from Wigan Athletic for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £200,000, is pleased to see his younger brother Marcus Tavernier train with the England senior team.
The 19-year-old Middlesbrough winger himself is delighted to have trained with the Three Lions, and his elder brother and former Newcastle United right-back has sent him a message on Twitter.
Interestingly, James Tavernier has said before that he would like his younger brother Marcus Tavernier to join him at Rangers.

In August 2018, the former Wigan right-back told Rangers TV that he hopes that his brother comes to Rangers in the future. (click here to read more).
Marcus Tavernier made five appearances in the Championship for Middlesbrough last season and has played 47 minutes of football in the division so far this campaign, according to WhoScored.
