Rangers defender Danny Wilson speaks highly of Ibrox boss Graeme Murty, who is in charge of the Gers following the dismissal of Pedro Caixinha.
Murty is in the interim manager of Rangers at the moment, having taken over the team following the dismissal of Pedro Caixinha.
Results under the 43-year-old have been mixed, but there have been some very encouraging signs.
Rangers defender Wilson, who has been on the books of the Gers since the summer of 2015 when Mark Warburton was in charge of the Ibrox outfit, has said that he would not be surprised if Murty gets job offers from other clubs.
Wilson told The Scottish Sun about Murty: “I know Graeme’s very happy with his role here with the Under-20s, but he’s done great since he came in.
“I’m sure in the future we’ll see him as a manager somewhere. It wouldn’t surprise me if an offer came in but I think he’s said himself he is happy in the role he has at Rangers.”
It is not easy to take charge of a big club like Rangers following the departure of a manager, but it has to be said that Murty has done quite well.
The former Scotland international defender is a very good coach, and it seems that the Rangers first-team players are enjoying playing under him.
Rangers are yet to appoint a permanent successor to Caixinha. Perhaps the Gers should look to give the managerial role to Murty until the end of the season…
