The Ibrox defender feels his new Rangers teammate has done well in recent matches.

Helander has had to remain patient for chances in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven since arriving in the summer transfer window but appears to have replaced Nikola Katic in the centre of defence, for now.
Helping keep clean sheets against the Dutch side last Thursday and against Tommy Wright’s team, he’s made quite the breakthrough.
Goldson thinks he’s coping with all of it well.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, the Gerrard favourite said: “It was Filip Helander’s first big test and he did really well. I spoke to him the whole game and he handled it well.
“It’s been tough for him as Niko Katic had been doing so well.
“But Filip came in against Feyenoord and showed what he can do in a tough atmosphere, then we had another clean sheet together in the St Johnstone game.”
Can Helander keep his place?
There’s no reason to believe based on his recent two appearances that the Swedish international will be losing his place alongside Goldson anytime soon.
At the moment it looks like a viable partnership and it would serve Gerrard well if he invested a bit of time in the pair.

It’s known that Katic can perform alongside Goldson, so having three players he trusts across the two positions would protect Rangers against injury and loss of form.
Helander was one of the club’s big summer buys and fans have been dying to see more of him in a Rangers shirt.
He may not be the finished article quite yet, still adjusting to life in Scottish football, but a bit of faith from his manager could go a long way.
Perhaps a bigger question going forward is, should Goldson spend a bit of time out of the team, with Katic coming in?
That’s one to watch over the coming weeks and months.
