Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers lost to Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic in the Old Firm derby, with Connor Goldson playing for the Gers and Ryan Christie turning out for the Bhoys.

Ibrox club Rangers suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday afternoon.
Olivier Ntcham’s goal on 62 minutes proved to be the difference between Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish Premiership game.
Rangers defender Goldson has criticised Celtic midfielder Christie for going down too easily late in the game.
The 23-year-old Scotland international went down on the edge of the Rangers penalty box on 85 minutes, with the referee subsequently booking Goldson.
Central defender Goldson, who joined Rangers from Premier League club Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window for a transfer fee reported by The Glasgow Evening Times to be worth £3 million, has criticised Christie.
Rangers centre-back Goldson told The Scottish Sun: “Did you see it? What did you think? Put it this way, if that makes someone go to ground then I must be the strongest man in history.
“My one finger must be so strong that it makes someone go to ground. The crowd make a noise, it is a free-kick and I get a yellow card.”

Deserved Celtic win
Celtic deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter, although Rangers could argue that the goal should not have counted due to a foul in the build-up.
Brendan Rodgers’s side hit the frame of the Rangers goal four times, and goalkeeper Allan McGregor also made some wonderful saves for the Gers.
