Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers will face Neil Lennon’s Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
Connor Goldson of Rangers
During the last Old Firm derby between Celtic and Rangers, which was at Celtic Park, Brown was involved in a number of controversial incidents.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos was sent off after an incident with the former Scotland international midfielder, while Andy Halliday was dismissed after the full-time whistle for reacting to Brown’s celebrations in front of the Gers’ fans and Liverpool-owned winger Ryan Kent was retrospectively banned for his action on the former Hibernian star.
Rangers central defender Goldson – who joined the Gers from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer of 2018 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £3 million – believes that Brown – who has been on the books of Celtic since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million – was very clever.

Goldson told The Scottish Sun: “Truthfully, and people won’t like me saying this, but Brown has been very clever. People will say, ‘Why don’t we do it?’. But realistically, it’s not right to do.
“At the same time, he benefited his team by doing it and we were a bit inexperienced. We shouldn’t get sucked in by that and on that day we were. It’s just something we have to learn from and not let it happen again, because it hurt us.”
Rangers will take on Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
