Rangers defender Clint Hill has proven to be a useful addition to the squad.
Rangers veteran Clint Hill has described the intense pressure to perform at the club, with numerous players competing for one of the two-centre-back spots, during an exclusive interview with the club’s official website.
The 38-year-old veteran made the move to Ibrox this summer on a free transfer from Queens Park Rangers, and has gone on to make 13 appearances for the Glasgow giants.

Mark Warburton’s men have steadied the ship in the Scottish Premiership of late, after a disappointing beginning to their campaign, and now sit third in the table, after going five games unbeaten.
Hill spoke to rangers.co.uk, and explained how the fierce competition for places at Ibrox ensures that every single player has to be at their best every time they step out on the football pitch:
“We know if we’re not doing the job then someone is going to set in and take the shirt, it is hard at the moment but we have two lads behind us who want it as well. I have had that kind of pressure throughout my career, I have had £12 million players come in and try and replace me. Playing for this club now there is pressure every day, pressure to perform in training and pressure on the pitch so that is just part and parcel of the job.”

The Gers currently sit 11 points behind league leaders Celtic, and have played a game more than their fierce rivals, so it is extremely unlikely that Warburton’s men will mount any kind of title challenge this term.
If they can keep improving though, with the fierce competition for places highlighted by Hill, they have every chance of finishing second, and qualifying for the Europa League next season.
For a club that began the 2012/13 season in the Scottish third division, that would be quite some achievement.
