Glasgow Rangers signed Bruno Alves in the summer of 2017, while Graeme Murty’s Ibrox side brought Russell Martin on loan from Norwich City in the January transfer window.

Alves played alongside Martin during Rangers’ Scottish Premiership game against Motherwell away from home at the weekend.
The Gers conceded two goals, but Graeme Murty’s side scored twice themselves and picked up a point from the game courtesy of a 2-2 draw.
Rangers star Alves, who joined the Gers in the summer of 2017, has stated that he feels good playing alongside fellow defender Martin, who moved to the Ibrox club on loan from Norwich City in the Championship in England in the January transfer window.

Alves told Rangers’ official website about Martin: “I feel good playing with him, he is very experienced and we talk a lot.
“The defensive line and the midfield needs to play better so that the team be better in the future.”

Fruitful partnership
Alves has not exactly been great for Rangers so far this season, but the 36-year-old Portugal international is hugely experienced and remains an important player in Graeme Murty’s side.
Martin is an experienced player as well, and the 32-year-old Scotland international defender has done relatively well for the Gers since his January switch.
