Glasgow Rangers defender Bruno Alves comments on Derek McInnes rejection and gives his verdict on Graeme Murty’s charge at Ibrox.

Rangers defender Bruno Alves has distanced himself from the Ibrox club’s managerial saga, saying he doesn’t want to comment on the Derek McInnes snub.
McInnes was favourite to replace Pedro Caixinha at the Ibrox club, but the Aberdeen manager rejected the opportunity to join the Gers.
Both Rangers and Aberdeen have gone on to release official statements, and it has left many Gers fans and former players disappointed with the club’s approach.

When Alves was asked to comment on the subject, the 36-year-old said, as quoted by the Scottish Daily Record:
“I don’t have anything to say about that (McInnes rejection). What I would say is that we need all the people here to help and we need everyone who wants to be here.
Alves is happy with how caretaker boss Graeme Murty has been handling the situation. He says that it is an important job, and it is important that everybody should put in their effort to take the club to its right place.

The 36-year-old adds that the Rangers players are following Murty’s ideas, and that he brings positivity in the side.
“We have a coach and we need to respect his ideas and what he is trying to do. We are following him. I have worked with him for a long time now and it’s been really easy,” he added.
“He brings so much positivity and brings everyone together with the same goal. We are giving our best for him. Every day we are listening to him and doing what he wants for the team. We respect him and what he wants to do. That is important.”
Rangers came from behind to win 2-1 against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday. The Gers are second in the league, four points behind Celtic, although the Bhoys have played two games less.
