Glasgow Rangers defender Bruno Alves plays with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo for the Portugal national football team.
Rangers defender Bruno Alves has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that he does not think that his Portugal international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world and enjoyed a successful 2016-17 campaign with Madrid.
The 32-year-old played a key role in Los Blancos winning La Liga and the Champions League last season.
The Portugal international forward scored 25 goals and provided six assists in La Liga and scored 12 goals and provided five assists in the Champions League in 2016-17, according to WhoScored.
Rangers defender Alves, who joined Pedro Caixinha’s side earlier this summer, has said that he does not think that Ronaldo will leave United.

Alves’s comments will pour cold water over the hopes of the Manchester United fans regarding a move for Ronaldo.
The former Sporting Lisbon star was on the books of United from 2003 until 2009, and remains hugely popular among the Old Trafford faithful even to this day.
Ronaldo is going strong despite being in his early 30s, and he would certainly be a massive signing for United this summer.
However, Alves’s comments suggest that the Madrid star may not be open to the idea of leaving the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window.
