The Ibrox star is enjoying a new song in honour of his Rangers contribution.

Rangers star Borna Barisic is lapping up the level of support he’s being shown from Ibrox supporters in recent weeks, The Scottish Sun report.

There’s no doubt that the left-back has had his ups and downs at the Gers since signing up to Steven Gerrard’s squad in 2018.

Injury and fitness issues plagued his debut season and there were even question marks about his long-term future at the club.

Recently though he’s enjoying a more prominent role and fans seem to be coming round to his attitude and style of play.

He even has his own song now, set to the tune of Karma Chameleon by Culture Club.

It’s something that’s left him delighted.

As quoted by The Scottish Sun, he said: “We just need to keep going now.

“I think we showed against Feyenoord that we can be competitive against everyone.

“I cannot explain how much I am enjoying playing at this time, and now I have my own song.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling when you play and you hear a song about you.”

What now for the Croatian?

Barisic doesn’t have much natural competition for his position at Ibrox, but he can’t become complacent.

Gerrard has already shown this season he isn’t afraid to use Andy Halliday or Jon Flanagan if he feels Barisic isn’t pulling his weight.

Having started the side’s last four matches though, he can feel confident that he has a bit of faith from his manager currently.

With renewed backing from the stands too, he can now push on and become the player he was supposed to be in his first season.

He’s evidence that you can never write off a player, even if he’s seemingly initially struggling to make an impact.
