Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers defender Borna Barisic says that the Gers’ rivalry with Aberdeen is almost like Celtic.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 48 points from 24 matches.
The Gers are six points behind leaders Celtic and only two points clear of Aberdeen, who are currently third in the standings.
Rangers will take on Aberdeen away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening, and ahead of the match, left-back Barisic – who joined the Gers from Osijek in the summer of 2018 for a fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £2 million – has suggested that the rivalry with The Dons is similar to that with Celtic.
Barisic told The Daily Record: “There is a rivalry between us and Aberdeen. It’s like Celtic almost. That will push us on. I’ve missed all three matches against Aberdeen but I really enjoy big games.”

Title race
Celtic are the favourites for the Scottish Premiership title this season, but both Rangers and Aberdeen are very much in with a chance.
The game between Aberdeen and Rangers on Wednesday evening is massive, and one suspects that the losers will find it extremely tough to maintain their challenge until the end of the campaign.
