Robby McCrorie is leaving Rangers on loan once again.

The Daily Record report the Rangers prospect is set to join Queen of the South on loan.

The move is just for the first half of the season, although there is a strong chance it is extended.

This is McCrorie’s third loan spell, following stints with Berwick Rangers and Greenock Morton.

McCrorie, 21, is Rangers’ most talented young goalkeeper and currently finds his path blocked for first team football.

As far as sending him out on loan right now goes, it’s the right decision, he can go and play regularly and gain experience.

It will get to the stage where Rangers will not be able to hold the Scotland under-21 international back much longer.

With first choice Allan McGregor 37, there could be an ideal transition between the two at Ibrox.

McCrorie needs to keep progressing well, and next summer Rangers may have a difficult decision to make.
