Rangers are in a three-way race to sign Vitesse Arnhem defender Danilho Doekhi as he approaches the end of his contract in the Netherlands.
That’s according to Dutch outlet De Gelderlander, who claim that Doekhi is a man in demand.
It’s stated that Rangers want Doekhi, but so do Italian giants Napoli and Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
Doekhi is out of contract at the end of the season and seemingly wants to leave Vitesse on a free transfer in the summer.
Doekhi, 23, was once in the Ajax ranks but has really excelled with Vitesse, racking up 116 appearances for the Arnhem side.
Primarily a centre back, Doekhi serves as Vitesse captain. That leadership at such a young age will make him very appealing, especially to Rangers.
As things stand, Rangers will lose Connor Goldson on a free transfer, so Doekhi could slot in as a replacement.

Doekhi hails from Rotterdam, just like Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst, though Doekhi featured for Excelsior whilst Van Bronckhorst was a Feyenoord hero.
Doekhi is also the nephew of Winston Bogarde, who played with Van Bronckhorst with the Netherlands.
That’s an interesting tie, and Van Bronckhorst may feel that he can tempt Doekhi to Rangers.
Napoli and Dinamo Zagreb are major threats though, and Rangers would be wise to offer Doekhi a pre-contract agreement this month.
