Rangers are showing an interest in signing Crystal Palace teenager Jesurun Rak-Sakyi ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim that Rak-Sakyi is an option for Rangers in what would surely be a loan deal.
Rak-Sakyi, 19, has only made one appearance for Palace’s first team but is highly-rated down at Selhurst Park.
In 16 Premier League 2 games this season, Rak-Sakyi has racked up 11 goals and three assists, shining for the young Eagles.
An England Under-20 international, Rak-Sakyi predominantly plays down the left flank but can also play as a right-sided winger.
That seems to be a key focus for Rangers before the deadline, especially given links to Andreas Skov Olsen and Crysencio Summerville.
Rak-Sakyi may be a relative unknown in Scotland, and some will have reservations over bringing in a teenager who has barely played senior football.
The teenager is though a very exciting talent and could provide a spark to a Rangers attack that looked a little blunt against Livingston on Wednesday night.
One very interesting note here is the relationship between Palace boss Patrick Vieira and Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

The pair played together at Arsenal in the early 2000’s and could now strike a deal to send Rak-Sakyi up to Ibrox.
Vieira may trust Van Bronckhorst to get the best out of Rak-Sakyi and ultimately aid his development, helping Palace in the long-term.
Vieira has praised Rak-Sakyi as a ‘good dribbler’ and his direct style could be just what Rangers need in the final third.
This may not be the headline capture Rangers fans want, but if Rak-Sakyi can bring his Premier League 2 form to Scotland, he could be a sensation.
