Aaron Ramsey will return to Juventus at the end of the season but has an uncertain future in Turin amid his underwhelming loan transfer with Rangers, according to Calciomercato.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst took the Welshman to Ibrox in January to inject extra creativity into his Premiership title-chasing side. But Ramsey has struggled to show his skill after an injury-hit start in Glasgow and faces an undetermined spell out of action with a calf issue.
The 31-year-old has so far only featured for 94-minutes over four games with the Gers and has only started one. His sole opening call to date also came at fourth-tier Annan Athletic in the SFA Cup, which additionally returned the 71-cap international’s only assist for Rangers.

Ramsey’s fitness problems do not surprise the Italian media given his torrid injury record in Turin. Now, his return to Juventus at the end of the season is almost taken for granted with Rangers unlikely to pursue a permanent transfer. Yet the Gers could now sign him for free.
Juventus want to terminate Ramsey’s contract amid Rangers loan struggles
Ramsey left Juventus for Rangers on loan during the last transfer window in the hopes of gaining a fresh start. He had only featured five times across all competitions for the Serie A side this season for 112-minutes. He had similarly also only started one fixture this term.
Now failing to gain regular minutes in Glasgow has done little to smooth the Bianconeri’s concerns. So, Juventus hope to sell Ramsey this summer if he again rejects their request to terminate his contract. The Turin natives had suggested a mutual separation in January.

But Ramsey refused to tear up his deal worth €7m-a-year (£112k-a/w) net before bonuses in the winter market. He then sealed a deadline day loan move to Rangers, which left Chris Sutton hailing the ‘brilliant’ maestro and touting his title-deciding potential if he stayed fit.
Unfortunately for Ramsey and Rangers, the loan transfer from Juventus is yet to work out for either side. But an improved run of form upon his eventual return from injury may see Van Bronckhorst consider a permanent move with the Bianconeri open to his exit for free.
