Rangers defender Connor Goldson could be on his way out of Ibrox with Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion ready to strike.
That’s according to The Scottish Sun, who report that Forest and West Brom both want to give Goldson a pre-contract agreement.
Goldson, 29, is out of contract in the summer and is now able to sign a deal to leave Rangers for nothing.
A move back to England could be on the cards for Goldson, with one other mystery club fighting Forest and West Brom for his signature.
Rangers are allegedly relaxed and aren’t minded to sell this month to bring in cash before Goldson leaves for free.
Snapped up from Brighton and Hove Albion for a fee of around £3million in 2018, Goldson has been a key man at Ibrox.
The 29-year-old has racked up almost 200 appearances for Rangers since his arrival three-and-a-half years ago.
With no indication that Goldson will sign a new deal at Rangers, it looks like the two will go their separate ways this summer.
A move to West Brom may particularly appeal to Goldson given that he hails from the West Midlands; Wolverhampton, to be precise.

Forest could be in the market for a centre back this summer with Joe Worrall – an ex-Rangers loanee and Goldson’s former defensive partner at Ibrox – potentially leaving.
Goldson would be given a key role at Forest, possibly playing on the right side of a back three under Steve Cooper.
It doesn’t look like there are Premier League clubs queueing up for Goldson right now, and following Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa seems unlikely.
That’s despite Gerrard branding Goldson ‘absolutely immense’ at Rangers.
The hope for Goldson may be that he signs a pre-contract agreement and then his club of choice ends up winning promotion to the Premier League.
