Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Rangers will not sell Connor Goldson in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Record.
Rangers stance on Connor Goldson
The report has claimed that Rangers do not plan to cash in on Goldson this month.
The 29-year-old central defender is out of contract at Rangers at the end of the season.
Rangers paid Brighton and Hove Albion £3 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2018 for the defender. (The Daily Record).
The Daily Record have reported that Rangers are planning to make a renewed effort to convince Connor Goldson to sign a new deal.
However, the defending Scottish Premiership champions are not going to sell the Englishman this month and would rather lose on a free in the summer of 2022.
The report has credited Rangers with interest in Hearts defender John Souttar, who will receive a pre-contract offer from Nottingham Forest, having already got one from Blackburn Rovers.

Sensible decision
In our view, Ranges are making a good decision in keeping Goldson.
Yes, no club wants to lose a player for free, but having a defender like Goldson can only benefit Rangers.
After all, Rangers are aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title this season and are still in Europe.
