Well, Rangers have finally got their hands on another Premiership title.
It has been 10 years, but the Gers lifted the trophy today following a 4-0 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox.
This is Rangers’ first major trophy following the liquidation and subsequent demotion to the basement of Scottish football in 2012.
That’s a huge achievement in itself, but then just look at the stats.
Under Steven Gerrard, the light Blues have recorded 102 points and no defeats en route to stopping Celtic’s 10-in-a-row bid, which represents bonus points for the blue side of the Old Firm divide.
It’s been one hell of a season and here’s how one member of Gerrard’s coaching staff – Michael Beale – reacted to the occasion on Twitter.
Earlier in the week, Rangers called on their fans to celebrate in their own community amid plans to turn up to Ibrox for the party.
And it’s fair to say their calls fell on deaf ears because swathes of Gers supporters were filmed outside the stadium this afternoon.
And given the occasion, given that the fans haven’t seen Rangers play all season, it’s difficult to criticise, even if it goes against government guidelines right now.
