Rangers beat Hibernian 1-0 at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers continued their fine end to the season on Sunday afternoon as they beat Hibernian 1-0 at Ibrox thanks to Jermain Defoe’s goal.
The Gers had seen Celtic clinch the Scottish Premiership title on Saturday afternoon, but were playing their penultimate home game of the season, so were looking to end the season strongly.
With four wins in a row, Rangers were entering the game in great form, and made it five in a row with Defoe’s first half strike from a Steven Davis pass.
Rangers saw out the game and kept another clean sheet, but the game ended in farcical fashion as goalkeeper Allan McGregor was sent off for a bizarre kick on Marc McNulty.
McGregor will now miss next week’s game against Celtic, and with Rangers having used all three substitutes, they were forced to use midfielder Ross McCrorie in goal.
It was a quite remarkable situation, as McCrorie’s brother Robby is actually a goalkeeper with Rangers but currently out on loan at Greenock Morton, but midfielder Ross has managed to play a game as Rangers goalkeeper before Robby.

After the game, coach Michael Beale took to Twitter to admit that the situation showed how ‘strange’ football can be, praising McCrorie whilst joking that there are now two Rangers goalkeepers in the family.
Later that night, winger Ryan Kent was named PFA Young Player of the Year, and Beale praised the ‘outstanding’ wide man whilst admitting how proud he is of Kent.
