Rangers coach praises confidence of Ross McCrorie.
Rangers head of academy Craig Mulholland has praised the way Ross McCrorie has performed this season.
This is McCrorie’s second season with the Rangers first team and he has made good progress.
Last season he began well, but faded, and was sent off against Celtic.
This time it is his performance against Celtic which have earned him praise, and act as a measure of how far he has improved.
Mulholland told Rangers’ official website: “You look at his performances in the Old Firm games where he has been fearless.
“The manager has mentioned that and hopefully that is part of the grounding he has had in the academy.”
McCrorie turned 21 in March and he is now at the stage where he won’t be able to remain referred to as a youngster for much longer.
He has had to battle for game time this season with new boss Steven Gerrard being busy in the transfer market, and this has meant he has had to raise his game.
The fact he has done so is testament to his quality.
