Rangers Head Development Squad Coach Graeme Murty speaks highly of West Bromwich Albion and Scotland midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Graeme Murty, the Head Development Squad Coach at Rangers, has spoken highly of West Bromwich Albion midfielder Darren Fletcher to The Scottish Sun.
Murty played with the former Manchester United player for the Scotland national football team between 2004 and 2007.
The Rangers coach believes that the 32-year-old midfielder will be important in the development of Scotland’s young players.
The 41-year-old former Reading and Southampton defender believes that Fletcher will be important in a coaching role once he retires.

“When you look at Fletch, and the education he has had, it will be better to keep that knowledge in the game,” Murty told The Scottish Sun.
“He can help the younger players coming through, not even technically but just with regards to dealing with a level of expectation.
“He’s always dealt with that. He played for Manchester United, arguably the biggest club in the world at that time and also had a lot of hopes of the Scotland faithful resting on his shoulders.
“He dealt with that remarkably well. The calmness and the pride he exudes, whilst dealing with those pressures, is something our young players would definitely benefit from.
“So if we can get people of his ilk into coaching it will benefit the next generation of Scottish football.”

Fletcher is not exactly a ‘great’ player, but he is someone who always works hard for the team and gives his all.
The Scotland international is a key figure in the current West Brom team, and at 32, he still has a few years left in him.
For Scotland to develop and improve as a team in the coming years, players like Fletcher will be important.
Having played for a club like United, the midfielder brings with him a winning mentality.
Fletcher has scored three goals in seven Premier League appearances for West Brom so far this season.
