Rangers boss Graeme Murty picks out teenager for praise after development squad

Rangers under-20s coach Graeme Murty picked out Kai Kennedy for praise after his performance for the development squad last night.
The Gers went down 2-1 to Falkirk in the Irn Bru Cup, despite summer signing Umar Sadiq dropping down into the side to help improve his match fitness.
Instead it was another attacker who caught the eye, 16-year-old Kai Kennedy.
Kennedy only turned 16 last month and is a Scotland youth international.
The teenager came off the bench for Rangers and impressed, getting picked out by Murty for praise.
He told Rangers’ official website: “I thought Kai Kennedy was great when he came on. We’ve got lots of guys in that age group that are looking to push on not just into the reserve group but into the first team group.
“For him to get on the pitch and get minutes is great for him but it’s not a surprise because he approached pre-season really well.”
Murty won’t rush the teenager, and any progress he makes this season is a bonus for the club.
Clearly he going to be a name to watch for fans in years to come.
