Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly wanted Liverpool-owned Harry Wilson, who scored for Derby County on Saturday.

Rangers coach Michael Beale has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message to Derby County duo Mason Mount and Harry Wilson, who was reportedly a target for Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard in the summer transfer window.
Mount and Wilson were on target for Derby in their 3-1 victory over Brentford at the Pride Park Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
While 21-year-old Wales international winger Wilson – who joined the Rams on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window – scored in the 14th minute, 19-year-old England Under-21 international midfielder Mount – who moved to Derby on loan from Chelsea – found the target in the 28th minute.
Wilson – who earns £4,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – was linked with a move to Rangers before he joined Derby on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in The Scottish Sun in July, Rangers wanted to secure the services of the Wales international.
Rangers first-team coach Beale worked with Wilson at Liverpool, and he is pleased to see the youngster – as well as Mount – scored for Derby on Saturday afternoon.
