Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has brought Michael Beale to Ibrox, and the new Gers coach worked with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool.

Beale has recently been drafted into the Rangers coaching staff under new manager Steven Gerrard.
The former Liverpool coach is well-respected and has a strong reputation, and he would be an asset to the current Rangers team.

While reflecting on working with current Celtic boss Rodgers at Liverpool, Beale told The Scottish Sun: “I’d been involved with him as a staff coach at Chelsea and I had an idea of what he might like. I believed in his philosophy and fell in line with that.
“Things moved very quickly at Liverpool. From 2012 to 2017, we had 25 debuts for players who had worked their way up.
“Brendan and Jurgen Klopp are both managers who like to work with people and develop them.”

Competing with Celtic
Rangers have assembled a strong backroom staff, and the Ibrox faithful are brimming with hope and expectation.
However, Celtic remain the best team in Scotland, and the Hoops will start the 2018-19 campaign as strong favourites to the Scottish Premiership title.
It is hard to see the Gers win the league title next season, but the Ibrox outfit will be determined to close the gap on Celtic.
For Rangers, it is important that they finish second in the Scottish Premiership table next season and given the Hoops a run for their money.
