Rangers boss Steven Gerrard looks set to leave the club for Aston Villa this week, and Chris Sutton has been reacting on Twitter.
A week ago, the Gers can’t have imagined being in the international break on the brink of losing their manager.
However, Villa sacked Dean Smith on Sunday after five defeats in a row and want Gerrard to replace him.
The Telegraph now claim that Gerrard could be named as Villa boss inside 48 hours after Rangers allowed him to hold talks.
Gerrard would be taking Rangers staff members Gary McAllister, Michael Beale, Tom Culshaw and Jordan Milsom with him, as Villa are paying £3million for them.
This would be a monumental blow for Rangers and possibly dent their title hopes with Celtic breathing down their necks.

Celtic fans are taking this opportunity to mock Rangers fans, just as Gers supported did when Brendan Rodgers left the Bhoys for Leicester City.
Pundit Chris Sutton has, somewhat predictably, decided to join in.
Sutton took to Twitter to mock Rangers, suggesting that he thought Gerrard was happy at Rangers.
Sutton seemingly doesn’t think Gerrard would be leaving if he was truly happy, with a move to Villa now seemingly close.
