Glasgow Rangers chairman Dave King has been making some bold comments about Celtic recently.
Rangers chairman Dave King recently made some bold and astonishing claims about Celtic.
As reported by The Glasgow Evening Times, King stated that the Hoops are not as far ahead of the Gers as they should be.
The Rangers chairman was also quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun that Celtic will not win the Scottish Premiership title 10 years in a row.
The comments from King did not go down well with the Celtic fans, who, understandably, did not agree with the Rangers chief (click here to read more).
King has now made another claim. The Rangers chairman has stated that taxi-driving Celtic fans agree with him about his 10-titles-in-a-row comments.

“When I speak to Celtic fans in taxis, they don’t regard winning the title without Rangers being worth as much as winning it with Rangers,” King told The Scottish Sun.
“I have never come across a Celtic fan who has said anything other than: ‘We’re desperate to have Rangers back competing with us’.
“They don’t regard it as being the same without Rangers. Of course, they will sing about it. They are Celtic supporters and are having a go at Rangers fans.
“But I have not met a single Celtic fan, not one, when I am getting in taxis who in discussions with me haven’t said that ultimately they need Rangers back. They all get it. It’s not going to stop them singing six-in-a-row though!”
It seems that King is determined to prove his point and wants everyone to agree with him eventually. Rangers fans may feel that way, but one suspects that most Celtic supporters never will.
Meanwhile, former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has criticised King for his comments about Celtic winning only two league titles in a row, discounting the titles they won in the absence of Rangers in the Scottish top flight.
Sutton believes that the comments have only increased pressure on Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha.
“The manager who should be most annoyed is Pedro Caixinha as he has now been placed under the most extreme pressure by his own chairman,” Sutton wrote in The Daily Record.
“On one hand King has backed the Portuguese with new signings and funding for his personnel changes.
“Now he has lobbed him under a bus and piled unnecessary pressure on him. Does he not learn his lessons?”
