Rangers and Celtic are both keen on Dundee United’s midfield maestro Jeando Fuchs – at least according to the player himself anyway.
The January transfer window is fast approaching and clubs will be planning for signings.
Fuchs has now spoken to Foot Mercato about his future and the clubs chasing his signature for 2022.
The midfielder it out of contract at the end of the season and could leave for free or make a cut-price January move.
Fuchs claims Celtic and Rangers have both made contact for his signature. Blackpool, Peterborough United and Wigan Athletic are also keen.
Fuchs played against Celtic on Sunday but couldn’t help Dundee United avoid a 3-0 home defeat.
Celtic and Rangers target Fuchs hailed
Dundee United boss Tam Courts has now praised Fuchs after his display against Celtic.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun, Courts suggested that Fuchs is a ‘top player’ in Scotland.
Courts added that Fuchs is focused on Dundee United even if Celtic and Rangers want to sign him.

“Even today, from Jeando’s performance and throughout the last few weeks, you can see he is a top player,” said Courts. “Not just for us but also in this league.”
“I have always gone on record as saying if any players, particularly the top performing ones, have aspirations to get to the top level then the types of club you mentioned will naturally be interested. Jeando is a focused guy and our relationship is really strong and he likes to do his talking on the pitch,” he added.
Fuchs, 24, has been at Sochaux and Alaves in the past and was a coup when Dundee United land him.
An athletic and combative defensive midfielder, Fuchs could be a real bargain for Celtic or Rangers.
They will face a battle to secure him, but it’s clear that Fuchs is highly regarded at Tannadice.
