Rangers and Celtic are set to do battle in the transfer market amid claims they both want to sign AZ Alkmaar winger Albert Gudmundsson.
The Telegraph claim that Rangers and Celtic are planning to go head-to-head in the race to sign Gudmundsson.
Gudmundsson is available on a free transfer at the end of the season with his AZ Alkmaar contract running down.
Both Old Firm clubs can actually approach the Iceland international with a pre-contract agreement in January.
A number of European sides are interested in Gudmundsson too though, meaning Rangers and Celtic face a battle for his signature.
Who is Rangers and Celtic target Albert Gudmundsson?
Gudmundsson, 24, has spent the majority of his career in the Netherlands having been in the Heerenveen ranks.
PSV Eindhoven snapped him up in 2015, but having failed to break through, Gudmundsson headed to AZ in 2018.

The right-sided winger has racked up 24 goals and 10 assists in 93 games for AZ. This season, Gudmundsson has four goals and one assist in 16 Eredivisie games.
Gudmundsson is the great-grandson of Iceland’s first professional footballer and ex-Arsenal striker – also named Albert Gudmundsson!
Giovanni van Bronckhorst likely knows of Gudmundsson given his knowledge of Dutch football, but Rangers know they face a battle with Celtic.
