Jake Hastie might be back on Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers’ radar.

Rangers have reportedly resurrected their interest in Jake Hastie.

Herald Scotland reported on Tuesday that Rangers remain keen on the Motherwell winger after the trail originally went cold.

Better yet, The Express has claimed that the Gers and other reported suitors will only have to pay around £300,000 in compensation to the Fir Park side.

The 21-year-old winger has a very bright future and if the Ibrox side can get a deal done for that amount, it has to be an absolute bargain.

This is a left-sided speed demon with six goals in 12 Premiership outings this season. In other words, a player with bags of potential and one who can and will get so much better.

And if Steven Gerrard can get him for less than half-a-million then, well, it’s a magnificent bit of business.

It’s a bit early to be thinking about Hastie’s re-sale value, but if he develops as expected then he’ll be worth drastically more than the £300,000 outlay in a few years.

Rangers have pulled off a few bargains in recent years, but Hastie might be right up there with the best of them if he winds up in Glasgow.
