Rangers have seen Ryan Kent impress under steven Gerrard this season, but his time with the club may be coming to an end soon.

The Gers took Kent on loan from Liverpool last summer, with Steven Gerrard attempting to revive his career after a torrid loan stint with Bristol City.

That’s exactly what has happened; Kent has played regularly for Ranges this season, whilst notching five goals and nine assists in all competitions.

Rangers may well want to keep Kent, but that seems impossible. The Daily Record report that Liverpool are unwilling to loan the winger out again, and want at least £8million for him – way beyond what Rangers can pay.

An English club may well be in the market for Kent instead, and Leeds United should be one of them having been linked with a move for him last summer by Goal.

The Whites moved for Daniel James of Swansea City in January but couldn’t get the deal over the line, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, meaning a speedy winger will again be wanted this summer.

Kent is more rounded than James right now thanks to a touch more experience, whilst his ability to go both ways down the left flank could also be appealing to Leeds.

The £8million fee is a fair chunk, but Kent has shown this season just how much he can bring to a team if given regular playing time and a key role – and if Leeds can’t sign James, then they should certainly swoop in for Kent.
