Oliver McBurnie has admitted his interest in joining Rangers.

Rangers brought in one striker during the January transfer window as Jason Cummings arrived from Nottingham Forest, and they may yet pursue the Scot on a permanent deal this summer.
However, Graeme Murty – or whoever else is in charge of Rangers this summer – shouldn’t stop there, with one striker playing in England seemingly absolutely perfect for the Gers.
Oliver McBurnie, 21, has been on the books with Swansea City since a 2015 move from Bradford, and is currently enjoying a superb loan spell with Barnsley, where he has hit six goals in nine appearances.

The Scotland international will return to Swansea at the end of the season, and has now opened the door for a possible move to Rangers, in an interview with The Scottish Sun.
McBurnie revealed that it’s his dream to play for Rangers having grown up supporting the club, and he would love to eventually have the privilege of wearing the famous blue shirt having idolised Kris Boyd and Nikica Jelavic as a kid.
Rangers were tentatively linked with a bid for McBurnie in January, but his comments now mean that the Gers cannot afford to let any other club – such as Leeds United – swoop in and land McBurnie this summer.

The Sun (18/3, p60) reported that Leeds boss Paul Heckingbottom wants to reunite with McBurnie having signed him for Barnsley in January, potentially offering the Leeds-born striker a return home.
Leeds may be home to McBurnie, but Ibrox is where the striker’s heart is, and given his goalscoring record this season, his huge potential and his love for Rangers, the Gers simply must pull out all the stops to make sure McBurnie is a Rangers player come next season.
