Jones is joining Rangers in the summer transfer window after leaving Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock.
The 24-year-old winger had already signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers back in January and will move to Ibrox on a free transfer.
Some Kilmarnock fans were not happy at the timing of the announcement of the pre-contract agreement, as Kille were fighting for the Scottish Premiership title at the time.
The former Middlesbrough prospect also made a post on Twitter expressing his delight at joining the Rangers.
Jones hopes that Kilmarnock fans will remember his contribution to the club for the three years he was there.
Jones told The Daily Record: “It was brilliant to be part of a fantastic season for the club. I understand for some fans I may not have left in the best way possible but when the dust settles I hope people will think that I did a good job.”

Praise for Glen Kamara
Meanwhile, former Dundee assistant manager Graham Gartland has praised Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.
Gartland worked with the former Arsenal prospect at Dundee, and he has spoken highly of the 23-year-old Finland international midfielder.
Kamara joined Rangers from Dundee in the January transfer window and played well for Steven Gerrard’s side in the second half of the season.
Gartland told The Scottish Sun about Kamara: “When we first saw Glen it took me about ten minutes to see how good he could be.
“We knew that he needed a little bit of work to improve him but after that he needed to just play some games to reach his full potential.
“The way we tried to play at Dundee it gave him the chance to shine. It gives me satisfaction to see him getting his move to Rangers and really impressing for them now.”
