Are Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers about to sign Umaro Balde?

The Glasgow Evening Times reported last week that Rangers were close to signing Umaro Balde.
The 16-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder has seemingly impressed at a trial with Rangers already and will move to Auchenhowie this summer.
There has been no confirmation from the Gers as of yet but, if Twitter activity is anything to go by, it might be done.
Another highly-rated teenager bound for Ibrox is Kane Ritchie-Hosler, the 16-year-old signed from Manchester City in February [The Scottish Sun].
And interestingly, Balde and Ritchie-Hosler have began following one another on Twitter in recent days.
Balde is a defensive midfielder and it’ll be interesting to see how he and Ritchie-Hosler get on in the academy side next term, assuming the Bissau-born player moves to Glasgow.
Hosler was a big player for the Sky Blues’ Under-16s last season, but decided to move to Rangers.
Both are too young to play senior football for Steven Gerrard’s side, but there’s a certain Karamoko Dembele on the green half of the Old Firm divide who will inspire them, after the 16-year-old made his debut for Celtic under Neil Lennon last week.
