Glasgow Rangers signed a pre-contract agreement with Josh Windass in January, but he has yet to train with Mark Warburton’s side.
Rangers-bound midfielder Josh Windass has admitted on social networking site Twitter that he is disappointed not to be training with his new teammates.
Windass will be part of Scottish Premiership-bound Rangers next season, having agreed a pre-contract with the Glasgow giants back in January.
As reported by BBC Sport at the time, the 22-year-old midfielder was offered a four-year contract by the Gers.
However, the youngster is not able to train with Mark Warburton’s side at the moment due to a disagreement between Stanley and Rangers over compensation fee.
Stanley have refused Windass and Matt Crooks to train with Rangers until the Scottish Premiership-bound outfit pay the compensation fee in full.
The club’s owner, Andy Holt, recently revealed to STV that the Gers have been informed of their position on the matter.
Windass is disappointed with the current situation, but he seems to understand the issue.
Rangers won the Scottish Championship title with ease last season and will feature in the Scottish Premiership during the 2016-17 campaign. Windass will be looking to impress the Gers’ manager Mark Warburton during pre-season.
