Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has urged Wayne Rooney to end his stint with Everton and go to MLS.

Wayne Rooney should not think twice about leaving Everton and joining MLS club DC United; at least that is the belief of Rangers manager and the striker’s former England teammate Steven Gerrard.

It appears that, even though Everton have a new manager now in Marco Silva, Rooney’s second stint at Goodison Park is coming to an end after growing frustrated with his treatment.
In Gerrard’s opinion, Rooney should follow his own example by experiencing playing in MLS.
Speaking to the Associated Press as quoted by the Mirror, he said: “I hope he does, I hope he makes it. I enjoyed my time at the MLS and enjoyed the life experience.

“I think where Wayne is now in his career I think it would be great for him and his family to go and settle in an incredible state and see a lot of America. It is certainly a life experience I’ll never forget and I hope he goes and has the same.
“The league is a good league, the players are fit and mobile and it is competitive and I enjoyed it at that stage of my career.”
Rooney is a Premier League legend, but has looked laboured in recent years following an intensive playing career, and now the Rangers boss has added his voice to the clamour for him to make a big call regarding his future.
