The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is reluctant to make wholesale changes at Ibrox, however.

Steven Gerrard has revealed he will freshen up his Rangers squad for Sunday’s meeting with Motherwell at Ibrox.
Rangers drew 1-1 with Porto on Thursday night and did not return to Glasgow until the early hours of Friday morning.
Gerrard, though, is reluctant to make wholesale changes – despite admitting that his Rangers side are suffering from a ‘few bumps’ and some ‘tiredness’ – in a bid to maintain their recent good form.
But a handful of Rangers players could miss out at Ibrox, according to their manager.
“Glen Kamara’s just been sent home ill,” Gerrard told Rangers’ official Youtube channel on Friday. “But we expect him to be back tomorrow so we’ll assess him – fingers crossed he’ll be available for the weekend.”
“We’ll freshen it up but there won’t be wholesale changes. I think there’s a few that I’ve got to really think hard about. Ryan Kent, Ryan Jack have come back, their first game, and they’ve probably played slightly longer than expected so we’ll have to see how they recover and make late decisions on them.

“I do want to try and continue these players to play together as much as they can and keep their form as strong as we can.”
Motherwell’s last visit to Rangers ended in a 7-1 defeat last November, but the Steelmen have been much improved this season and sit a place behind the joint-Premiership leaders in third.
