Glasgow Rangers brought Allan McGregor to Ibrox in the summer transfer window.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Gerrard, who was appointed as the Rangers manager in the summer of 2018, has also said that McGregor is the best goalkeeper in Scotland.
The Liverpool legend made the comments while referring to the 36-year-old’s tremendous save for Scotland against Israel at Hampden Park in Glasgow in the UEFA Nations League last week.
Gerrard told The Telegraph about McGregor: “What a fantastic save. It was world class, but no surprise to me because I’ve seen it on many occasions this season and over the years.
“That’s the reason why he’s the best keeper in Scotland, in my opinion. His form hasn’t surprised me, neither has his influence. He’s a world class goalie.”

Brilliant signing
McGregor returned to Rangers in the summer transfer window for his second spell at Ibrox.
The Scotland international has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Rangers and has been superb so far this season.
The 36-year-old is making important saves in goal, both in the Scottish Premiership and in the Europa League.
According to Transfermarkt.com, McGregor has kept three clean sheets and conceded 10 goals in 11 Scottish Premiership appearances for Rangers so far this season.
Rangers will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Villarreal at Ibrox in Europa League Group G.
