Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard reportedly wants Mexer at Ibrox.

It has been reported that Rangers manager Gerrard was in France to hold talks with the 30-year-old Mozambique international.
French clubs Bordeaux and Nantes are also reported to be interested in securing the services of the centre-back, who is out of contract at Rennes at the end of the season.
The Scottish Sun has claimed that Rangers manager Gerrard watched Mexer in action during the 2-2 draw with Rennes and AS Monaco on Wednesday evening.

Good signing for Rangers?
Mexer is a very good and experienced defender who will be a smart signing for Rangers, especially as he will arrive as a free agent.
The 30-year-old, who stands at 6ft 2in, is fantastic in the air, makes good tackles and interceptions, and can also score goals.
According to WhoScored, Mexer has made 27 appearances in Ligue 1, seven appearances in the Europa League and five appearances in the Coupe de France for Rennes this season.
