Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told the Ibrox club’s official Twitter page that Nottingham Forest-owned central defender Joe Worrall was terrific against Aberdeen today.
The Gers have played out a 1-1 draw with Aberdeen away from home in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals this afternoon.
Sam Cosgrove put the home team in the lead from the penalty spot after just 11 minutes, and Worrall – on loan from Forest in the Championship in England – scored the equaliser just four minutes into the second half.
Rangers manager Gerrard has praised the 22-year-old central defender for his goal against Aberdeen.
Gerrard told Rangers’ official Twitter page: “I thought Joe Worrall was terrific. What a big goal! He just kept his team in the cup, and McGregor keeps us in the cup at the other end.”
