Rossiter featured for Rangers in their Scottish Premiership match against Hamilton Academical away from home in the Scottish Premiership this past Sunday afternoon.
The former Liverpool midfielder started the match and played for 82 minutes, as Rangers won 4-1.
Rangers manager Gerrard was impressed with the display produced by Rossiter, who was making his first appearance in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Gerrard told The Glasgow Evening Times about Rossiter: “So Jordan earned that [on Sunday] and I thought he was very strong for his first showing in such a long time. I was very pleased with him.
“He’s a bright kid. Tactically he’s very astute. I can trust him to go in and do a job if and when I need to.
“The key now is to really look after Jordan and get him out there as much as we can.
“He’s had a tough time so we’ll tailor his programme. We just want him available as much as we can from now to the end of the season.”

Injury struggles
Rossiter is a very good and promising young midfielder, but the 21-year-old has ben unlucky with injuries since his move to Rangers in the summer of 2016.
The former England Under-21 international midfielder – who earns £10,000 per week as salary, according to The Daily Mail – has made only a handful of appearances for the Rangers first team so far.
Rangers fans will now hope that Rossiter stays injury-free over the next few months.
