Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard brought Ovie Ejaria to Ibrox on loan from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Ejaria, who joined Rangers on loan from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer transfer window, is struggling to cope with the rough and tumble of the Scottish Premiership, according to The Daily Record.
Rangers boss Gerrard has suggested that Liverpool will make the final decision on the future of the 21-year-old – who earns £2000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – and whether or not to recall the England Under-21 international.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun about Ejaria: “Sitting here right now, it’s a concern. I haven’t had the chance to speak to Ovie yet but I need to have an honest conversation with him and see where his head’s at and where he sees his future.”
The Liverpool legend added: “The reality is he’s a Liverpool player and Liverpool have almost got to take charge of this.
“Yes, we’ve got a loan situation with Ovie but we wouldn’t keep a kid who was unhappy. “

Liverpool return
Ejaria has done relatively well for Rangers so far this season, but if the midfielder does not feel comfortable at Ibrox, then it would make sense for him to go back to his parent club Liverpool.
That will also free up a spot in the Rangers squad, and manager Gerrard will be able to sign a replacement.
Rangers have failed to progress to the knockout stages of the Europa League, but the Gers are very much in the running for the Scottish Premiership this season.
