Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has suggested to the club’s official website that Matt Polster may not feature against Dundee at Ibrox.

The Gers will take on Dundee at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening.

Polster, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, has yet to feature for the Rangers first team since his move to the Gers in the January transfer window.

Rangers manager Gerrard has suggested that the 25-year-old USA international could miss the match against Dundee due to a groin issue.

Gerrard told Rangers’ official website about Polster: “I had plans to involve Matt tomorrow, but he has got a bit of a tight groin as well.”

Disappointment for Matt Polster

Polster is a very talented player who is one for the future, and the USA international is unlikely to make a major impact at Rangers this season.

The American, though, will still be disappointed if he fails to make his competitive debut for Rangers this week.

Hopefully for the 25-year-old, he will recover from his groin problem soon and will be available for selection soon.

Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 55 points from 27 matches, as many as eight points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic.
