Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly want John Souttar.

According to The Daily Record, Rangers are interested in securing the services of Souttar from Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts in the summer of 2019.
It has been reported that Rangers director of football Mark Allen has identified the 22-year-old central defender as “top signing target” at the end of the season.
Rangers manager Gerrard has said that he admires the Scotland international, but the Liverpool legend has not stated whether or not he is interested in the youngster.
Gerrard told The Scottish Sun: “Souttar’s a player I admire but there are tons I admire in this league. Out of respect for opposition managers and clubs, it’s very difficult to name any targets.
“I’ll never speak about someone else’s player — and certainly not on the eve of battle. It seems as if it’s people from Hearts who are talking about the speculation. No one at Rangers.”

Good signing for Rangers?
Souttar is a very talented and promising young defender who can only get better in the coming years, and the former Dundee United youngster will be a good long-term signing for Rangers.
Rangers need to make some important additions to their squad in the summer transfer window in order to challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
