Jake Hastie has joined Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.

Hastie has joined Rangers this summer on a free transfer after signing a pre-contract agreement with the Gers back in January 2019.
The Scottish Sun recently reported that Rangers manager Gerrard could send the 20-year-old winger out on loan this summer, but the Liverpool legend has suggested that the Scotland Under-21 international will be part of the Gers’ team for the 2019-20 campaign.
Gerrard told The Daily Record: “Jake has just walked through the door and this will be a big change for him.
“The idea now will be to keep him here, to get him used to Rangers and his team-mates. He will get opportunities to play and shine, then we’ll go from there. I’m delighted to have him, he’s got a huge future.”

Rangers stay
Hastie could struggle to play regularly for Rangers next season, but the winger is only 20 years of age.
The youngster can only benefit by working with Gerrard and learning from training sessions at one of Scotland’s biggest club.
The 2019-20 season will be one in which Hastie learns and develops by staying at Rangers, and a move away from Ibrox on loan is not going to be great for his progress.
