Gerrard has said that the Rangers winger could move to Rotherham United in League One in England on loan before the summer transfer window closes next week.
According to The Glasgow Evening Times, Rotherham are interested in securing the services of the 20-year-old winger on loan this summer.
The Liverpool legend told The Scottish Sun about Hastie: “There is a chance that Jake Hastie may go on loan to League One in England. I think this could be a good move for him.”
Good move for Jake Hastie?
Given the quality of players Rangers have got in their attacking unit, it was always going to be tough for Hastie to establish himself in the team this season.
Playing the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Rotherham in the tough and competitive League One will help the Scotland Under-21 international develop and progress as a footballer.
Hastie should not be feel disappointed at being sent out on loan, as he is only 20 years of age and has got enough time on his hands to establish himself at Rangers.
