Rangers manager Mark Warburton opens up on the Gers players’ mood after the draw with Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Championship.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton has revealed on the club’s official website the mood in the Gers’ dressing room after the draw with Alloa Athletic.

The Gers played out a 1-1 draw with Alloa away from home at The Indodrill Stadium in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, Jason Marr headed home from a corner to put the home team ahead.

Rangers did pick up a point from the encounter, though, thanks to Michael O’Halloran’s goal in the 83rd minute.

Warburton has revealed that the players are disappointed with the result and are angry.

“It’s highly frustrating,” the Englishman told Rangers’ official website. “The players are in the dressing room angry and irate, but it about the group – it’s not about one player or a group of players, it’s about everyone together, and as a group of staff and players we are really frustrated today as for all the good work we did we didn’t get the end rewards.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at The Indodrill Stadium, hosts Alloa had just 29% of the possession, took three shots of which two were on target, and earned two corners.

Visitors Rangers had 71% of the possession, took 25 shots of which 10 were on target, and earned 23 corners.

Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 60 points from 24 matches, eight points clear of second placed Hibernian, who have a game in hand.
