Glasgow Rangers delivered a victory at Ibrox in Pedro Caixinha’s first game in charge of the Scottish Premiership side.

Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha has told RangersTV that his first taste of the Ibrox atmosphere following his recent appointment was fantastic and suggested that it played a major part in the Gers’ emphatic victory over Hamilton on Saturday.
Caixinha was taking charge of the Light Blues for the first time following confirmation that he would be Mark Warburton’s permanent successor, and things could not have got off to a better start.
Rangers stormed to a 4-0 win with Emerson Hyndman, Clint Hill, Martyn Waghorn and Lee Wallace all getting on the scoresheet on a brilliant day for the Gers off the back of their excellent point against Celtic last weekend.
And Caixinha suggested that the crowd had a big part to play in the victory after using a superlative on a couple of occasions to describe the atmosphere.

“It was fantastic when I first walked out; it was a fantastic reception and when we receive this type of support we are not playing with 11 we are playing with a lot more than that,” he told RangersTV.
“This is our home, this is our fortress and we want to keep it like that and we want the fans to help us in this winning culture that we are trying to create.”
Although they still find themselves eight points back of Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, the victory will surely boost their chances of securing second spot in the table.
The nature of the win will surely give them a tremendous lift, and they can enjoy the momentum that came from the win for the next couple of weeks due to the international break.
And with another home game next up for the club, Caixinha will be hoping that the Ibrox faithful can create another spine-chilling atmosphere to inspire the team.
